Summary

Amends the

Renewable Energy (Electricity) Act 2000
as a result of a statutory review of the operation of the Act to: enhance market transparency and business certainty; increase opportunities for bioenergy and solar technologies; encourage innovation through recognising emerging renewable electricity generation technologies; and make administrative amendments in relation to the operation of the Mandatory Renewable Energy Target scheme. Also amends the
Administrative Decisions (Judicial Review) Act 1977
to clarify appeal avenues in relation to assessment decisions made under the principal Act.
